In other news, according to information posted to a popular S2000 enthusiast Web site, s2ki.com, the S2000 ceased production in 2001 after only 5000 units. No information is available on the source of new S2000s on dealer lots right now.

Honda would never turbo any of their production cars for sale to the public. Honda and BMW are the only two OEM that do not need turbos to produce significant horsepower.

correct, but you're not addressing what you actually quoted.
if you addressed (agree or rebut - doesn't matter) you would note that honda's getting 290 hp from 3.2L from a 6-cylinder, and 240HP from 2.0L 4-cylinder.....both normally-aspirated and both available 5 years ago.
not sure how many other manufacturers could have made that claim 5 years ago.....i'm sure there may be a scant few out there though.
nonetheless, HP alone does not detemine a car's performance...or desirablity for that matter.

? Honda doesn't keep up with the other makers, witness the 290hp NSX and 240hp S2000.
