what steve shows with a thread like this is how shallow he is....if he was a man of any experience he would know one month really means nothing...
Please oh wise one (snicker) explain to us all why one month means nothing. For what it's worth:

Year to date, Honda's total sales fell 0.5 percent to 565,948, with Honda volume down 0.4 percent to 479,747

and that's with all of the crazy incentives, too.
Spinella said final March figures show GM, Ford and Chrysler lowered incentive spending 1 percent, 1.7 percent and 3.8 percent respectively in March versus February. Toyota's average outlay was down 3.1 percent, Spinella said, while Honda and Nissan had slight upticks.

Er... monthly sales were down -14.7% compared to last year, but the yearly total sale change was -0.5%? Wouldn't that actually explain how misleading the data for one-month is, since it in no way reflects the long-run data?

Honda is doing well IMO. However their trucks are making up for their cars, they need to get their car sales up along with trucks. I think they may be living on past good will especially with the Civic which (IMO) does not stand out in any way from the competition.
