Funny; as I was reading this thread, they just showed a Ridgeline commercial during a Superbowl break... And I missed it! I only heard "Ridgeline" and looked up, and there was the truck... then the ad was over!

My wife and I towed the S2000 during Fall Colors '02 and it towed like a CHAMP. No issues at all.
Posted by Airgate regarding his towing his S2000 with his Pilot. Who knows, maybe I am wrong. Or maybe I need to stop using a dually 3500 Dodge as a benchmark for towing ...

Heavy duty vs medium duty
Sporty car vs sports car

Yes, there are differences; and yes, one does some things better than the other.

My friend and I tried towing a 20ft trailer with a V6 explorer from Portland to Texas....one of the scariest experiences in my life...tail waggin the dog indeed!! I still want to beat that dumbass senseless!! (my friend for trying to do that instead of just renting a U-haul)

maybe you need to stop and realize the ridgeline is not targeting dodge 3500 buyers

I beliebe Honda will find plenty of takers for this truck, as the market continues to swing towards so many people looking for trucks for more "personal use" rather than hard core towing/hauling.

That's just too much money for a truck, I think they need to follow Nissan and Toyota, mainly Nissan. I'm seeing nicely equipped Nissan Titans for about 18,000 they have grasped the truck crowd. I have seen tons of them on the road. Now Honda charging that much I don't see them selling too many within the next year because the truck with that price is only marketing to people who buy suvs and trucks that are like the escalades and the navigators, which is not that big of a market base.

Note to Honda Lower the Price
Paging esracer

Where do you see nicely-equipped Titans being sold for $18,000?

Putting it's lack of towing aside the thing is damn weird looking. It's like pontiac body cladding meets avalanche meets that jeep concept from a year or two ago. I think it's pretty damn ugly. But, I expect it will sell well even at a high price point. So where are these 18k Titans?? Is this the same world where new NSX's are a good deal!! *rim shot* sorry...couldn't help myself!!

Finally, a reasonable comment.

Look, for the occassional towing that I need it to do, the Ridgeline will fit the bill just fine. 99% of the time, it won't be towing anything. I don't have room for an F250 Superduty turbo diesel. I don't even have room for a Titan. Hence the reason I'm so interested in the Ridgeline.

And the guy who tows with his 7 series can be found at www.willz.ca. He uses the 7 series and the dual axle trailer to haul his auto inventory around. Seen him at the racetrack with the setup lots of times. Pulls like a champ.
