HYPOCRITES.
A good vehicle isn't just based on horsepower and torque! You know, many people buy the Z over the S b/c it has more HP and tq for less money...
I'd liek to bring this up again, since everybody keeps ignoring it:
The Tacoma V6 in 2004 was the 3rd best selling truck that year (which just ended less than 2 month ago), with only 190 hp and 220 ft-lb (losing to the F-150 and Ram). Power isn't everything!

This truck/SUV wannabe will do fine. I think they know most people who buy trucks and live in the burbs aren't going to tow 5000 lbs, or carry pianos or a couple cords or wood in the bed. I think it will ride like the pilot and give a little extra room in the bed for TV's or runs to Costco. On top of it all it will be a Honda. Hell I know my RX330 is usually empty behind the rear seat except for a stroller. I've got a cousin who bought a new F-150 last year because he said he needed it to carry "stuff". I knew from the beginning he just wasted his money. After loading his house up will all the furniture he needs he is stuck with a ugly truck that gets ~12 MPG and a resale value only the most bought vehicle can give you. He says he wants to sell it. If he would had bought one of these I'm pretty sure he would be in the same predicament.

How many people actually tow crap with their truck? Every 1/2 ton truck I see around has one person it it, an empty box, and no trailer.
I don't care what it can tow, I don't need to tow anything. It might be nice to tow the S2000, but i doubt that is even something I need to be able to do...

I really only see 2 reasons to buy a truck.
carry a lot of cargo and/or tow stuff

I use my Tundra as my daily driver, and haul motorcycles nearly every weekend and often on Wed. nights. I'm very interested in the Ridgeline, and a comparably loaded Titan (which I also love) will be nearly $40K list.
I'm not ready to sell the Tundra yet, but my decision will come down to this...if I decide to buy a toy hauler, I'll buy a heavier duty truck (Titan or 3/4 ton turbo diesel). If I don't, the Ridgeline will be more than sufficient to haul my bikes and gear. The trunk is a huge added bonus...it provides added security for my riding gear, and means I can leave a lot of stuff like stands, tools, chemicals, etc. in the truck, making loading/unloading that much easier every time I go riding. It seems to be made w/ my current truck usage in mind! (though I have to admit they didn't exactly consider my tastes in styling)
I'm w/ Steve, though, about the towing capacity....I've learned that you def. want excess towing capacity beyond the load you plan on hauling. No way I'd buy the Ridgeline if I planned to tow the S2000 on a flatbed trailer - it wouldn't be a pleasant experience!

I don't think it'll be an unpleasant experience at all. A lot of work went into making sure this thing could tow 5000lb, and an S2000 on a trailer is probably 4200 or so. That is less than the weight of the Ridgeline itself.
It'll be just fine for the amount that I need it to do.
