Interesting article. Not surprising though. Thanks.

The funny thing is, they are praised for going the effiency route and that it is paying dividends for them with $3 gas. In my region, even when gas was cheap, people were still paying sticker and getting in line to buy most of their models before they even came in off the truck.

Gas could fall to a buck a gallon, but I think they will still maintain their market strength. They just make a solid product, and am not a Honda worshipper, I have only owned 2 Honda's in my life. I have owned more Chryslers and GM product than Honda's, but it will probably swing the other way as the years go by.

um, I cou;ld not find the one sentence supporting the thread title in this article. Not that I'm surprised [edited]

Real numbers would be nice. Is that for the month of July, for the year-to-date, or what? A one-month "trend" isn't really indicative of anything.

um, the thread title is unsuported by the article. Not that I'm surprised :/
Huh?

To cap off a remarkable performance, Honda passed Chrysler Group in sales for the first time in history, coming in fourth behind General Motors, Toyota, and Ford.

In a constant state of denial, as usual...

Glad I caught your initial quote.

The problem is, you are trying to move the goalposts. With your new quote "well, a one month "trend" doesn't prove anything" you are trying to put words in the OP's mouth.

Here's a parallel:

OP: This article says I have a red house
You: That article doesn't support that you have a red house.
You: [Edit] Oh, well, you do have a red house but it doesn't mean anything, red houses aren't any better.

Problem is, the OP didn't say red houses are any better, or that the "one month trend" meant anything. All he said was "Honda passed DC" which is correct and vindicated by the article. Your strawman argument about "that doesn't mean anything" may or may not be right, but in your rush to try to discredit the OP, you didn't bother to notice he didn't say anything other than Honda pass DC. Your "You guys are all idiot fanbois" bias is vividly clear for all to read in this thread.

Except for what happened in that month.

Its appreciated !

One step at a time, my son. One small step for sales, one giant leap for them (Honda Co.). Honda has been growing like Toyota, only at a slower pace, but with constant growth and profit though.
