Wow. That really shows how different the demands from the public there are different from the US.

Question: why do the Japanese like Western looking people so much? They're in their ads on TV, in magazines, billboards...in their comic books and tv shows...what's the dilio?
When I went on a tour to Japan, my tour guide told me just that, as did my sister who studied there for 3 years. My tour guide also told me the Japanese fill feel embarrassed if you speak to them in English because they aren't fluent. This being because according to their class scale, Whites/English speakers are of higher class than them. If I were to speak in Manderin, they wouldn't give two shits about me, as they are supposedly superior to the other Asian groups. So anyway, I tested this out at a department store. I was about 15 and asked to see something in the glass. At first, I just pointed at it and the lady totally shrubbed me off. wtf you know? So I go up to her and ask her in English. She looked surprised, then embarrassed and started apologizing for not being able to respond. She calls a few of her co-workers to help decipher what I was saying with their broken English. Turned out to be pretty sweet. They gave me an icy cold beveraged and a napkin served on a silver platter too.
On another note, have you guys seen the Japanese Odyssey? That is one cool looking van. I totally wouldn't mind having that car. I'm not sure if they're just trying to keep the good stuff for themselves on this occassion or they jsut think America wants a more family friendly van instead of one that's more aggressive looking. Oh yeah, Japan likes to keep a lot of the best stuff for Japan only. If you look at their electronics, you'll see that their designs for say a CD player, are 10x better looking. When portable CD players first became popular, I saw one in Japan that was the thickness of 3 CDs and had all the anti-shock technology. We had a huge plastic peice of crap that's the size of a book. Now that's

Japan's fascination with the Anglo-Saxon culture has to do with their perception of Caucasoids. ..............
I also had never heard the term "Caucasoids". Make's me feel like some kind of space man
