I love my fit....but a racecar it ain't.
I am impressed by the handling, all things considered. But let's be reasonable.

^My father-in-law has a Fit Sport A/T. Fantastic little car. I'd consider dumping my Accord for one (though not my S).

Shoot, if you want to race it, good on ya. Takes a lot of skill (or serious $) to make a slow car fast on the track. Who really cares so long as the owner enjoys it? It's not lke they are taking your S2000 away and focing you to track a Fit instead.

I have a Fit Sport (auto, cuz of the wife) in Vivid blue. I tell you, obviously not my S, but it certainly entertains, which is what i look for in a DD.

check out fitfreak.net forums if your interested in what others are doing to theirs...I'm not doing any serious mods to it except for looks, maybe suspension, but that's it. mines a DD (a/t because of the wife too )

I don't really have a dog in this fight, but anyone who doesn't think you can make a very fast fox body for 21k hasn't been around grass roots racing much. I don't want to do that shit, but I have seen some incredibly fast fox bodies that didn't' cost more then 20k to build. No stock NSX would be keeping up with one of those 20k mustangs...believe it or not it's true. But, I don't want a race car. I would rather have a nice DD that can do track work, hence the evo.

But slow FWD track cars don't anger me either. I don't want one of those either, but they are still interesting. I would hate to get passed by one!!

I know someone who drove that car (not anymore). There's two Spoon Fits, one was detuned to 90 hp for endurance races the other tuned up to 120 hp for time attack. The race Fit has a stock motor but the chassis is heavily modified.

for those who think its a waste to race a FWD car should do some research. The DC5 ITR has the fastest lap time at Infineon for USGTC

Funny you brought that up. I traded my Evo for a Fit for my daily commute.
Just picked up an 06 1krr for my weekend fun.

I love my Fit and feel no regrets in purchasing it.
No power which is expected, but handling is quite
impressive in this class.
