Honda demands NSX be faster around 'Ring than GTR

Nice. These days, I can only imagine that it's a high-performance version of SH-AWD. High-hp RWD only cars don't tend to get that quick, or they do only with more hp than this new car is speculated as having. Hopefully, Honda can keep the weight down.
Here's the interior shot, by the way. Assuming the tach is on the left, with zero on the bottom and 6000 rpm at the top left - suggests plenty of room for 9k to be displayed.
I'm sad to see an analog speedo on the right, though.
And I'm doubly sad because that amount of performance likely means this car will be too expensive for me.

I think it is great that they want to beat the GTR but I hope first that they design something that is going to look great. Honda and Acura seem to have lost their way recently with styling and from the test mule shots it looks kinda like some Aston Martin or something.
The next NSX should look exotic, timeless, beautiful and maybe even groundbreaking. Then work on the fast part second.
If all else fails styling wise steal the designers from the Audi R8 and the BMW M1 Concept!

The NSX was one of the first cars to have the aluminum frame to reduce weight, so with that 270 hp it could compete with the Ferraris of the day.
When the NSX came out, Ferrari made a monumental leap from the 348 (a very average design) to the 355, & again with the 360. Coincidence ?
