Default Honda CRV - US version Vs. UK version (Pics)

For a long time now, I have noticed that many auto makers, not just Honda, uses different paint and or moldings to give the model a different look.

The only problem is that it seems the overseas models look better. Much better, at times.

Well, the new CRV is definately a prime example! Here's some pics:

In these pics, you see that in the UK version, Honda uses the body color for more of the molding. Even the antenna looks "better."
The US Version CRV and UK Version CRV

Any thoughts???

The UK version looks better. I guess Honda is try to keep the cost down by not painting the bumpers for the states. Probably to be more competitive with Toyota's Rav4. The US version looks more rugged and look more like the CR-V it replaces. The UK version looks more like the new Civic SI in the front and the Volvo Cross Country in the rear.

You can not get the body color moldings here in the US.

I hate the ugly black plastic moldings on the US version...

That is strange - our UK model does indeed look better. Can't think why they would want to change the looks though. It just makes things more complicated for them.
Its like the colour names for the S2000 - you get Suzuka blue, ours is Nurburg - but they're the same colour. Indy yellow / Spa yellow. Its somthing to do with racetracks but it still just makes my wonder - why ?
