Car enthusiasts who are so picky about the look of the exterior is insignificant % of all the buyers anyway. People buying those minivans don't give much damn about how good it looks. Plus, although this is ugly to most of us which I agree, it really isn't that bad.

Raul, the end is near, and we are looking right at it...
At some point people are going to wake up and not buy Honda based upon the name, and they are then going to have to open their eyes, and wow, when that happens they are going to see nothing but crap.

It honestly looks as though they were 2/3 of the way down the Van in redesign and had to stop.

Then again, I don't suffer from the rampant anti-Honda fanboi-ism that's been circulating lately...
I loved that little Accord, drove it to 173,000 miles, had an argument with the salesperson when I was trading it in, he insisted I was basically too stupid to know the mileage, he claimed it had to be 73,000, not 173,000 (did not have the extra digit back then in the odometer) because of the shape it was in. It was traded for an '87 CRX-Si.
When the '87 CRX-Si was mid aged I traded it for a '90 CRX-Si which I still have today. And then of course in 2002 I got the S, and that does not include the 2 Honda motorcycles I have owned and the VFR800Fi I currently have.
I'M A HUGE FAN OF HONDA, however, I'm not blinded by brand loyalty, my education and career are in the graphic arts, I see design, I live design, design it what makes me tick. Just because I think things like the design language of Acura grille and this new Odyssey are f'ing ugly does not make me some anti Honda fanboy. I would love Honda to wake up, put the sport back into their DNA, get some designers on board that have some passion for sport, and of course wake up to what a good portion of the American market does want and stop keeping the best stuff over on the other side of the pond.
This Odyssey is ugly. I'm deeply saddened by the fact that a whole committee of Honda people said yea, this is great, let's make it. That's just sad.

I honestly think the CR-V is the ONLY current Honda in production that looks good. I guess it's only a matter of time until they ruin that one too.
Unfortunately that love dies as soon as I open the hood and see the lack of power plant they gave it

This Odyssey has lines that look more like it should have been a model sold as an Acura five years ago.
The angles and flat planes look more like an Acura than a Honda to me. That strange angle at the back defintely looks wrong, but the rest looks Ok to me.
On the CR-Z:
I've said it before and will continue to say it till someone at Honda replies.
The CR-Z needs a K20z3 powerplant. I'll buy the first red or blue one I see in some sort of "Si" trim.
