Honda brings us a new level of ugly

I'll be happy to admit it.
I....actually like it. I think it's a fresh design that works. It even looks more car-like to me . I agree the wheels are a little boring but it's a family minivan so that's forgiveable.
On the other tangent, I also like all of the vehicles currently in Acura's lineup, including the TSX and TL. The TSX actually looks like a luxury class vehicle now in the form of more presence, while the TL design probably has a bit too much of that. Nevertheless, I like it.
Back to the topic. Perhaps Honda is just trying to change their conservative image. I think it's a good phase for the company that could result in an even stronger brand for the future. Take a risk here and there and you might come up with something special over time.

honda and acura have really lost their way. my wife drives an '07 rdx. it had its design quirks, but the overall shape was still pleasant enough. what i had in mind for subtle mid-model tweaks to clean up the look did make it to the road, only they were done by Audi, when they introduced the Q5.
it's like Honda took all the magazine criticisms about "plain" or "boring" design personally and set out to be "different." remember when Hyundai just copied design elements from luxury brands? could you have imagined the thought less than 5 years ago of suggesting that Honda might want to start cribbing from the latest design language coming out of Seoul?
