And yet, with that 5-spd auto, it still matches anything else out there that has a 6-spd. With the 6-spd, it beats every one of the competitors!

It's not a looker, but looks very different, so maybe that's what they were aiming for.

Minivans are the tits of transportation - so roomy and comfy.

I think it'll mitigate some of your reservations/absolute loathing.

I definitely thought it wasn't that great in pictures but it has grown on me (much like the Acura TL in real life, in darker colors) and it definitely makes the prior version look plain.
My local dealer doesn't have any yet, but I did try.

It is hideous. The back third of the car is just plain wrong looking. Its Aztek ugly.

minus the ugly front end of the van it is actually a good automobile. it has headlight leveling, cd ripping onto a hard drive, a whole new battery management system and blind spot info just to name a few. i hate the way it looks but love everything else about it. just my 2 cents

The Odyssey looks a hell of a lot better than the Nissan Juke, that's for sure. I don't see anything really wrong about this Odyssey. The shape of the side window isn't that big of a deal It could be slightly rounded but it's not ugly.

I think it's interesting that now that consumers realized they have been hoodwinked by the manufactures by ramming SUVs down our throats for the last 15 years because they didn't have to conform to the CAFE standards. Soi the consumer is going back to minivans but they want coll minivans. That's why Toyota created that family and their "swagger wagon" videos. I think you'll soon see as many minivans as you did SUVs 10yrs ago.

I thought the front and back ends look good. Still having a problem with the back 1/3. I guess the genius stylists that came up with the Acura "beak" were banished to minivan land.

I'm sure that it's fine functionally. I'm also sure that there will be some folks that won't buy because of the looks. My wife won't drive a vehicle that she considers to be ugly, no matter how well it performs.

Haven't seen one in person. I hope it's better in the flesh, because it's really bad in photos.
