Aint that the damn truth.
Totally off topic, well only sort of...

I just got the Magnaflow cat-back on my Titan, now I can't keep out of the throttle because it sounds soooo good. There goes my already bad fuel economy, to worse.

I so want Honda to deliver on the CRX as the rumor mill has it. 1.3 I4 with 118 hp, 262 ft-lbs, 66 mpg.

Its not OT if you throw hybrid talk in there somewhere.

That rumor has to be utter BS though. 262lb or torque??? From where? 66mpg??? I would have a heart attack. When the CR-Z is released I would be HIGHLY impressived if it broke 50mpg.

I like it. I think it will be a very nice replacement for our Insight.

1.3 I4 with 118 hp, 262 ft-lbs, 66 mpg.
Does not compute.

Wiki on the Prius:
[CODE] Toyota Hybrid System
Gasoline: 1.5 L DOHC I4 VVT-i
13.0:1 compression
52 kW (70 hp) @ 4500 rpm
110 N

This car is interesting. I might buy one as a daily driver in 2009.

The Jon is right.

You guys have to think farther out of the box. 1.3 I4 with 118 hp, 268 ft-lbs, 66 mpg can compute if you consider the gas engine is not the only thing adding to the power specs. Not only is 268 ft-lbs possible with adding electric motors, but the delivery of torque will be like instant because electric motors have all their torque as soon as you turn them on, they don't have to spin up like a gas engine to develop the power.

For the record- I misstyped from the original CR-Z press release. The torque should have been 268, not 262. I had 262 in my head because that is the torque the E46 M3 has, and of course I love the idea this could have 6 more foot pounds.

I hope the next CRX is ~2000 lbs. I probably won't be buying it, though, since it will definitely be FWD. That's not my bag anymore. It better be really impressive if it's FWD for me to even consider it.
I suspect 2,500 at best, I think the days of 2,000 pounds is gone sad to say...

The FWD part actually does not bother me at all, as I will be looking to reduce the miles on the Titan, and wil not be usiing it as a track car, but you are right, I too prefer RWD.
