Default Honda and Acura

I was wondering, does Honda and Acura use Bridgestone for all of the tires they put on cars from the factory? Do other car companies use one specific brand for all of the car lines?

Just start wondering about that, and figured here was a great place to get answers!

Thanks in advance, if anyone knows!

Well, my Integra and F4i bike both have Bridgestones from the factory. Honda has also equipped cars with Michelins, too (XGT V4 on Civic Si and Integra GSR - crap tire, btw)

It is a cost issue. Why put a more expensive tire (x4) if the general consumer is indifferent. And if one of these customers complained about getting a goodyear instead of a bridgestone, can they prove there is a performance difference?

Well I can tell you from experience that Goodyears should be renamed "Badyears" for that is what you are going to have with those tires!
My girlfriend bought an 05 Element and ditched the Goodyears in favor of Michelin LTX M/S tires. Read the reviews on the standard OEM Element tire here at : http://www.tirerack.com/survey/SurveyComme...commentStatus=P
My 97 Civic came with Firestones and they were worthless in the rain and handling dept . With a set of new Michelins at 26,000 miles it drove 5 times better than with those cheap Firestones!

Michelins PILOT HX MX4X , on Accord v6 6MT , are pretty poor. Defianatelly needs to be upgraded.

One thing I know for sure, Honda/Acura has always put skinny tires on their cars; mostly.
