That car crumbled like a tin can. I don't think the car necessarily saved him (well, obviously it did to a certain extent), but I think the trailer of the truck he slid under prevented the truck that rammed him from just driving right over him.

He is one lucky SOB.

I would agree.. from the looks of it, the truck in front of him saved his life.

Not as bad as the one where a dump truck fell on top of a WRX. Driver didn't walk away from that one..
