All of his reviews are too black-and-white. He either loves a car to death or despises it.
clarkson is an entertainer first and foremost. his lines about driving it into the tree etc make us laugh, and get him headlines alllllll over the damn place. that's the idea... not honest reviews, sensationalist reviews. if you read them, and watch top gear, for entertainment... they're fantastic. anything else and you're giving him too much credit. it'd be like watching the daily show for your news.

Yup, Clarkson and Top Gear are great for entertainment, but rubbish when it comes to actual car information. Anybody who makes a purchasing decision based on Top Gear presentations is just being foolish (unfortunately it probably happens a lot because so many people do find it entertaining.)

One of the coolest Top Gear episodes, for example, was the motorbike tour of Vietnam. Which had nothing to do with cars at all!

I agree with him about the Clarity though. Hydrogen is the future of cars, not hybrids. They are just good for the interim.

Hydrogen, from everything I've read, is a HORRIBLE "solution" to gasoline powered cars. (Although I agree hybrids are indeed just an interim setup.)

I didn't realize that the Insight was made at the Suzuka plant... more space for production now that they're not making S2000s....
