1000 hp NA from a straight-4? I'm not one to say it can't be done, but that is a very steep goal, especially for a 4-banger. Heck, it'd be hard to get a V8 that high NA without using every trick in the book and race-grade parts.

It would be an interesting and impressive exercise if someone pulled it off, but seriously, how reliable would that even be, even in a limited-run vehicle? I personally don't see anyone, even Honda, attempting such a feat, since it's not useable on the street, and really not practical period.

The only way I could see such a thing being pulled off in the near future is if Toyota (for example) decided to put together a drag Prius or something, with a high-hp 4 augmented by an electric assist of about equal power.

haha 5 litre may be much. i'd be odd to see , but would be impressive if could be done. Maybe a NSX motor stroked to a 4 litre , 16 compression fully built. Probably still wouldn't hit close to 500whp

Theres a guy on here that's running an F20C for his Bonnieville salt flats car. I'll have to look around but I do believe he's got the fastest "Honda."

There's a guy on here I think his username is Greenlight or something like that. Anyway, he had the f20c rev to 12,000 rpm or something like that. I presume that's the most powerful NA f20c

Most powerful or highest revving ?? Unless he has invested a small fortune in building the motor I doubt he is making much more power at 12,000 RPM.
