i have an 05 S with about 70k miles.. its my daily.. its been good to me. Fun and comfortable car to drive.

make sure you buy an 05-06 as they got a lot of their bugs worked out. IF they do have problems they are usually minor.. knock on wood.

read the problems with the minis, its very specific to certain years and trims. I believe the automatic transmission in the earlier models were a disaster but the 6 speed S model were fine. Just make sure you look at reviews on edmunds for that particular year and if you're handy you can just fix it yourself. 100k isnt even high i dont get why people trip out about 100k. For me anything under 110k is low miles, 110k-150k is okay if everything checks out mechanically.

do a carfax, ask for maintenance records and do a prepurchase inspection yourself. check everything. i take a good 1 hour or two sometimes checking out a used car with cash in hand. If everything checks out, drive off same day happy!
