Default Help Me Pick My New Daily Driver.

My current daily driver (01.5 VW Passat 1.8T) is having too much problem lately, and VW service is . I'm looking to get a new DD within $30K limit. I'd also expect good dealer service, and good resale value for the car.
What would you choose?

Acura TSX 6 m/t (never driven one, but seems to be a good car)
Audi A4 1.8T
Mazda RX-8
Mini Cooper S (well, it's not a sedan)
Subaru Legacy GT (drove one, and it was a nice car)

BMW 325i 4dr with just the sport package and xenons can be had for just about $30K. (MSRP as configured is $30,895)

If it were me, I'd consider the 3-Series or G35.

wrx. a non-STI variety can be had for less than $23K (after negotiation, of course). there's really no need to be spending more than that for a daily driver.

A 5-speed would be sweet.

As an alternative I'd suggest the TSX.

Saab 9-3 with the sport package? ... though I've read conflicting reviews about those...

For the most fun I'd go with the Cooper S with the Works package. No it's not a sedan but it would be a blast to drive.

The Subaru Legacy GT is a very nice car but I think you might be able to find an Sti in your price range with a little searching. Are you open to suggestions?

Legacy GT if you can swing it. Man that car is sweet. I test drove one about a month ago, very impressed (wagon version at least).

Legacy GT
G35 Coupe
Saab(aru) 9-2X

That's what I'd choose.. in that order.

Question

anything but the mini cooper...

legacy gt
g35x - a little bit over $30k
g35
acura tsx

if resale value wasn't an issue

used wrx with $5k in mods and pocket the change.
