Default help me buy my daughters college graduation present (car)!!!!

my daughter graduates in 2003 from the university of michigan. she is not a speed freak but appreciates fine things. i would like to buy her a safe and classy (but not overly expensive) car. this board has impressed me as being incredibly savvy in all things about cars. please give me suggestions on the right vehicle at or around $30.000. i'll sign all of the names of the folks who help me to her graduation card.

go blue!!!!!!!!

If your budget is $30k, I would suggest some really great cars:

In the NEW catergory. . .

Honda Accord Coupe EXVL (fully loaded $26k)

Acura RSX Type S (fully loaded $24k)

BMW 325i (starts at $27k)

Those are my suggestions. . .all are sweet!

My older cousin just purchased a MY2001 BMW 325i. He didn't get a FULLY LOADED car but it was nicely furnished with some nice ammenities. He paid less than 30k out the door!

If you wanna squeek out 5 or so more thousand, you can get the 325Ci. Something about girls, BMW's and convertibles make me go

Look into the BMW. It will make for a good present and if this is being kept on the downlow from your daughter, then an excellent surprise.

Good luck!

Cheers,

Bryan

One more thing!

The great thing about a Honda, Acura or BMW is their resale value. You want a car that is going to be reliable for your daughter and when she's ready for something different, she won't lose her shirt! Ummm, bad choice of words!

Depends on your daughter, really. . .we need more info!

i heard the volvo s40 (one of my original first choices) was not made by volvo and not really up to their specs. otherwise (since she does not drive very well, and i am concerned for her safety) it would have been one of my first choices.
