When I was working for Extreme Dimensions we did this to a Mustang that we built for SEMA in 2010 (I think). It was a Hot Wheels Edition car, so it made sense (as someone mentioned them having this on their Hot Wheels toys as a kid). That's back when E.D. was working with Mattel and building cars for them to take on the road. Super expensive to do, but it showed well. Certainly not something that I would put on a DD.
