Haggling for '06 Civic coupe

My sister just recently bought a Civc LX Coupe. We got it for Invoice + $500 with some negotiation. We got a good deal because we are Costco club members. Join Costco if you already aren't, then go to a Costco participating Honda dealer and you'll have the price of Invoice + 750 with no haggling.
They'll tell you the car is selling like crazy, and they can't keep them in stock, and it may be true but they're still making money. The good thing with this deal is that Costco are the ones who essentitally haggled with the dealer not you.

It's always good to get a deal, but please don't haggle too much.
Remember, everyone's gotta eat.
Remember, everyone's gotta eat.
the dealer has something that you want: the car
you have something that the dealer wants: your money
the main goal of the dealer is NOT to sell YOU the car, its to separate as much money from you as legally possible [by selling you a car]
and the sale people gotta eat too (true that!), and they have commission on the sales they made, so the more they make you pay, the more they can put into their pocket.
there is a conflict of interest (you want to pay less but they want you to pay more), so no matter how you put it, it ain't gonna be pretty.
the up side for you is that there are thousands of dealer out there that you can work with. if the price is not right, just go to another dealer.
and ditto on the internet search, that would be the first thing i look if i am in the market for a new car
