Haggling for '06 Civic coupe
I'm going to look at the new Civic for my gf tomorrow and I'm not sure how much should I negotiate it for. It's a fairly new car so Im sure demand is still high. No, not looking the Si , just an LX. It's listed at $17,300. How much do you think I can get off?

Here's my recommendation. Go to www.edmunds.com. There you can get the dealer invoice for the car and all options you want. Take that number and add 3% and you have a fair deal for both you and the dealer. If you can get less, great but anything more and I would probably walk.

i bought a 06 civic for my wife this week. I do however work for honda. i can tell you that the damand for civics are very high right now.... we have only 2 on the lot that re not spoken for and about 15 on order that are sold... thats only over the last 2 weeks.... now if it was a odyssey you'll be able to get 2.9 %. even pilots and elements have decent wiggle room. civics are selling so well right now though.
lots of car for under 20k with 40mpg.
is it brand new???? cause we have brand new 06 LX 2 doors listed at 17360.

[QUOTE=Amit,Jul 7 2006, 11:33 AM] It's always good to get a deal, but please don't haggle too much.

Be glad you're not looking at the Si. The only negotiation there is if you want it or not. There is no wiggle room at all.
Good luck.
