Wow, the parking thing blows. I think they were looking for easy money and get more then they(boot company) bargained for. But who seriously thinks that 1500 is expensive HOA dues? I'm looking at homes now, and the cheapest I have seen is 180 a month, which is 2160 a year.

Don't do it. I live in the Dallas area and seriously thought about getting a nice high rise condo due to being single (the burbs everyone is married). Prices weren't bad at the time but every damn one of them had HOA, and it wasn't cheap. And in the contract it states they could raise it at any time for inflation, etc. **** that. It was like maybe a week I was pondering it, then decided quickly I'd rather have square footage, a garage, yard, you name it and went that route. My neighborhood doesn't have HOA, and it was selected because of that. Taxes and maintenance are enough, **** HOA's dude unless you can't afford a decent house and your only option is to move into a neighborhood where everyone parks on the street, etc.
