This is not surprising. The GT-R has been shown to keep pace with the Enzo on many courses.

If anyone's interested, there's a new GT-R (red) test in the Automobile August issue. The result they got was:

0-60: 3.4
1/4: 11.6 @ 122
lat g/cornering g: .99/.99
70-0: 149ft
slalom: 73

They tested it along a 911TT and every one of those number beats the 911TT's.
damn! 70-0 in 149ft. and slalom at 73mph.

HOW?! This car just keeps getting better and BETTER. Kudos to Nissan - I bow down to their engineers

Actually, those #'s are not records or anything, but excellent for sure. If I remember correctly, another test got almost 74mph for slalom, but don't remember if it was C&D or R&T.

Some people around here are masochist... I won't name them but you know who you are.

For $70,000 this car is setting some nice records. Althought it does have its shortcomings its positives mostly make up for it.

Is it all the electronic gizmo driving aids that do it? Basic traction control improves my times by 1 sec on a 50 sec course. But hell, it surely doesn't feel as good (too ho hum) as when it is off and I am trying me darnedest best to keep the back in line.

But yes - Kudos the Nissan on this beast. The new NSX and LF-A have a lot of work to do to better this beast out of the box.

Man that's fast. I can't even imagine what the Spec-V will do. I'm looking forward to seeing Sunday's results.

Looking forward to this show.

If the GT-R is not as monstrous in a straight line as some others but get extremely impressive track times, what does that mean?

That it has HUGE grip, handles pretty well in transitions, very good brakes (beats a lot of carbon ceramic cars in that dept.), and has a good powerband to work with on a track...

Just watched the video and it was truly impressive. The time that was posted originally was wrong.
