I dont think it's a mistake. Form follows function. I believe some of the 911 Turbos were set up that way in the past also, but I could be wrong.

It's a mistake, all the other sources report slightly wider rear tires (285's I believe). And it's easy to see from the pics that the rears are slightly wider.
