GT-R Swingers, more on deck for 2013
http://www.insideline.com/nissan/gt-...r-in-2012.html
Talking about 560-570HP factory, improvements in suspension, transmission, aero (specifically mentioned "underbody").
Cool I guess. I know there's a few swingers from the GT-R crotchal regions here ... figured it was worth a post

The GT-R started out as a beast and it just keeps growing a bigger mustache every year. Seriously bad car. Still too heavy for my taste but it's getting into some pretty serious power levels, not to mention all the grip/controllability that AWD brings with it.

I'm just amazed at the constant, incremental updates. I mean, if this happens, that's model years '11, '12, '13 with different specs/power levels/performance.
I guess with a "special project" car, they're OK with spending cycles/$$$ on constant improvement.

ehh it doesn't really excite me. Ive driven an 09 and 12 now. Don't get me wrong it is shit fast. but the Auto box is what kills it for me. It's nice the first few times you use it. Than after you actually just drive the car it just bores you. It's not really "fun". There are many other cars i would buy before that. Than again a lot of people who like the current M3 and would get the DCT box would consider this car amazing call me crazy but id take a Manual lambo over a 458 any day. And let's not even talk about how expensive these F1 trannys are to repair after you start using them they way they were designed to.
My dad looked at that GTR with me when i was shopping. He told me "id be an idiot to spend $90k on a nissan, spend more and go get a real man's car (Porsche)" lol.

I assume you mean the claims that the ring times were done on a wet surface (which I don't believe). The car has been tested and compared on other tracks and it's quick.
