Default Great-grandfather's car

My father has been looking through some old photos and came up with one of my great-grandfather standing in front of his car. My dad asked me to figure out what make, model and year the car is. The problem is that the only picture we have of this car has my great-grandfather obscuring the view of the parts that would normally be used for identification. My knowledge of cars only extends back to the 1950's, so I have no clue what it might be. Does anyone have an idea?

The car in question:

On first impression it looks like a Ford Model T, it could be a Model A but I believe those all had front bumpers the picture doesn't seem to have one.

My knowledge of pre-war cars is very limited but there aren't that many to choose from. Good luck identifying it.

Edit: Added Pics

A lot of cars looked alike back then, and there were a ton of auto makers that are long out of business. At the time anybody and everybody was making and selling cars, it wasn't just a few conglomerates. Hopefully you can come up with a good answer!

My first instinct was Model A as well, but I looked up a few pictures and there were differences (for instance, the Model A has more vent louvers on the side of the hood).

Thanks for your help

Fenders look to be Cadillac. Looks like a Type 57 to me. Suspension supports this theory as does the number of vents.
