Damnit, I went to Subaru dealer today and they will have 2 STi(s) available for the 1st come 1st serve basis. They have 25 serious buyers on the list, so my chance of getting this car in June is very low.
So well, I got a POS EVO today. I'll post pict later.

Sorry you had to settle for the EVO...

So from your sig does that mean you are still getting the STI? Can I ask what you paid if not, lower than MSRP?

Great choice...

Yeah, I might get the STi in the future, so those who are looking for a nice EVO can wait for mine (unless I feel the EVO suits me better).
I got the car at sticker w/o dealer options and I think this is the best I could get in SoCal.

What is so POS about the Evo? Looking at the big picture, they're the same cars!

I like the EVO better. The EVO actually performed marginally better than the STI in the recent issue of Motor Trend. The performance being essentially equal I much prefer the appearance of the EVO to the STI. The hood scoop and headlights look aweful on the STI but the hood and inlet on the EVO look great. The thing that killed the STI for me was when Motor Trend said that the STI was more softly sprung and had more body roll than the EVO. EVO is the real thing and will get better when they add the 6 speed.

although I have posted it a zillion times, I will be taking my Evo to Beaver run (www.beaverun.com) this coming saturday for a NASA Time Trial event. I have a transponder so my #'s will be real. The S2000 runs roughly 1:10-1:11. If the evo comes smoking in at 1:08's or better I will be pretty happy. It is a tight course with top speed down the back at about 120-125mph and down the front at 115-120mph...then all twists besides that.... I do think the evo's torque will go a long way on someof the twists where I was caught between gears in the S2000.

I saw an STI in our neighbourhood yesterday. Man, I respect the performance capabilities of that car, but it is just FUGLY.
