All of them which are not faster...

The CTS-V compared very nicely against the M3 and M5. Granted the track star M3 still beat it, but not by much in C&D's book. They also thought it was better and more practical than the M5.

It should certainly be cheaper to repair over the long haul too.

Not to mention the wealth of go-fast bits for the LS-1 family of V8s. A couple, three grand should bring you to 500hp!

From the Cadillac site:

Engine, 5.7L LS6 V8 SFI , high performance, (400 HP [298.3 kW] @ 6000 rpm, 395 lb.-ft. [533.3 N-m] @ 4800 rpm) (LS6)

Everything seems to be standard except for the roof, it is a $1,200 option.

I can't find the curb weight on it, anyone know?

Umm. Say what? Do you even know what car we are talking about here?

The CTS-V I think weighs about 3700 pounds. I could be wrong, but I think that's what it is.

Speaking of LS1 mods, just try to imagine what this thing will be like after Lingenfelter's team bangs on it. If they can make a screaming 2.5 ton twin-turbo Escalade EXT, you know the Lingenfelter CTS-V will storm any Autobahn, anywhere, anytime.

Brabus, Renntech and Dinan beware.

I like the performance oriented direction Cadillac is taking. It's about time they revitalized. Cheers to the developers of these vehicles.
