Got email to order Foundation Series Cyberbeast

Quik, you dodged a massive depreciating bullet there.
I’ll just quote myself
EV’s depreciate like mad. As much as you are a vehicle trading whore, do you want to take a bath like that on a $100,000 purchase? I mean July 4th is right around the corner. You’d be better off lighting off roadside stand fireworks with bennies compared to buying that awful thing.

Renting a Cyberbeast on Turo this weekend. I'll update with my experiences afterwards. Should be fun regardless.

Rented a Cyberbeast this weekend. Styling aside, which is controversial, it is probably one of the most fun vehicles I’ve ever driven. The steering is crazy fast and the acceleration is insane. See my video. Punch you in the face with launch control. Ride is smooth with air suspension, braking is a bit sketch given the speed potential, but overall super nice vehicle. Rear visibility is nonexistent and the front windshield seems like it’s 8 feet in front of you, but adds to the theater. Half functional truck, half carnival ride. Feels like the future in many ways.
Makes my old TRX and Escalade V (both stock) feel slow by comparison. Interior quality was nice and functional. Rental had 7,500 miles on it and it felt very solid, no squeaks, rattles, anything. After a day, it felt very natural to drive.
I could see myself getting one down the road but as awesome as the Cyberbeast power is, it’s way overkill and more like a parlor trick. I’d like do the $80k dual motor and try to get the $7,500 tax credit. At 72.5k it blows any other truck out of the water straight up. I felt like I was driving a horse drawn carriage when I got back in my Silverado.
Anyway, y’all need to drive one before dismissing its fugly styling. It’s a blast.

this acceleration, off the line, is about as brutal as I’ve ever felt. Closest other is a 992 Turbo S. It almost hurts. My wife tapped out after a few seconds when she first felt it. She said no more. My 6 year boy old said his head hurt. My 3 year old boy said, “Do it again!”
