Is 27,999 for a new EVO a good price just curious? Saw this price on a EVO @ a local mitsubishi Dealer.

Jason , you know to me for this stuff an 03 can be had under invoice now, the 04 should not be much more than invoice. Call Wes Griffen at Cerritos Mitsu , how you been?

seems every kid wants an evo, but the number of people who want evos and can afford them is less than the number of evos.

I attribute that to marketing flop. Much of their effort - including product design and advertising (product placement in F&F2) - was to make the car appeal to late teens and very early 20's. There just aren't enough of them who can afford a 30K (now 26K) mass production car. It should've been either a limited-production flagship car or a cheaper detuned one, or Mitsu should've made the current Evo8 more appealing to an older demographic who can afford it.

Yep, I almost bought one for $25,500 brand new with a sunroof and the wing, but I decided to get another S2K instead.

There were other dealers selling them for $26-$26,900 brand new in Florida (Tampa area), so I wouldn't pay $27,999 for a new one.

Last time I went to a Mitsu dealership, they had one sitting in the showroom with a sticker price of 26995. I joked around with the salesman and they said the price was negotiable. I was kinda shocked but in a sense not suprised. Mitsu originally had it for like 30k i think. Sales suck plus with the recent warranty voiding, they are killing themselves. If i could pick one up for 21-22k, i might do it but i doubt it. I like the s2k alot more.

You can at auction. Slightly used, but that's what they are going for!

Talk about bad resale value.

actually mitsu is coming out with an evo without the wing, HIDs, and other ricey stuff. it's lighter, too. no power accessories, either.

it costs the same though...kind of a ripoff. is mitsu voiding warranties for every little thing on these?
