Default Gonna be in Germany for a couple years....

I am in the Army and will be heading to Germany for a couple years to work in a dental lab in Heidelberg hospital. I will be unable to take my S because my wife insists we take her jetta vr6 and we can only take 1 vehicle.

Anyhow, what sports car would you purchase if you were in Europe/Germnay?
Are these cars available there?
Integra Type R
EVO FQ400
STI Spec C

I was looking to spend from$30-50k....I'm in the Army after all..haha
I was told by some co-workers that had served a tour in Germany that you can purchase vehicles from their factories with U.S spec emissions so you can bring the vehicle back to the states.
Any insight would be well appreciated.

Definitely look into BMW, as they have a popular program that allows you to buy the car in Germany much cheaper, and ship it to the US.

Why not take your S and buy another sedan in Europe?

If I'm going to buy a sportscar in Germany, I'd pick an Opel Speedster VX220.

Seriously, taking the VW to Germany is like going to France and buying imported wine. Tell your wife she can get the same car she has now cheaper in Germany, where they are built.

BMW's huh?....I like the M3's, but it just doesn't really seem raw enough for me... a little too cush and luxurious?

Are the lotus elise's any cheaper over there? Those are pretty nice.
I don't really know anything about the Opel car line besides what I have seen on GT4 Thanks for the input so far with the military discounts and what not. Please keep it coming.

The Opel is based on the Elise platform with 200hp turbocharged motor.

edit: They are also built by Lotus.
