Agreed, specifically a ES350, imo. And I think GM could make in roads on the ES with this vehicle if they are 3k to 5k less similarly equipped with a longer warranty (a la Hyundai). It's time for GM to start going the Hyundai route of doing things.

We did our summer vacation in Europe this year. GM's got some nice products there.

Japan typically have a "Save the good ones to ourselves and give the not so good ones to the rest" motto. But I can't believe US car makers can't do that for its country. I think they considered us having less taste than the Europeans.

I suspect it has nothing to do with that. I suspect it has to do with the cost of production in the US as well as the price points in the US and perhaps no longer but certainly in the past, the UAW's voice in product planning in the US.

i had to look at the first pic twice, looked like a bimmer from the side

anyway, beautiful car, i was quite fond of the G8, but this just takes the cake

how come we NEVER get the good cars here?

It's not. It was supposed to be the replacement for the Saturn Aura, but the program was cancelled.
The 2010 LaCrosse is a different chassis, way bigger than the Insignia.

I agree, GM has nicer cars for carnuts in other countries.
