Basically there are a lot of people on this board who are either dumb or like to stir up trouble. Which are you?
Besides Consumer Reports evidence I see enough GM quality on rollbacks.

Buick, Chevy and Cadillac makes up GM? Because, I could be wrong, but I thought it also included Saturn, GMC, Oldsmobile, Pontiac, and Saab.

Well aside from SAAB the others are right around average so what's the problem? According to that link, GM brands (minus SAAB) are average or above. That hardly supports your claims that they are junk. Then again facts haven't always been your strong suit.

Bleh. I am not that smart, why am I the only one who remembers this shit?
DETROIT, June 29, 2005; Following best-ever results reported last month in J.D. Power and Associates' Initial Quality Study, General Motors received eight "Most Dependable" awards and placed 18 vehicles in the top three of their respective segments -- more than any other automaker -- in the 2005 J.D. Power and Associates Vehicle Dependability Study released today.

Go home fanboys.
Discounts? I guess that national Honda clearance for which I just saw a TV ad was a figment of my imagination.
Sigh.

remember guys, there is a BIG, BIG difference between ONE YEAR relaibility (based on "problems" per 100 vehicles) and LONG TERM reliability.
IMO, the whole "problems" thing is meaningless. That can be anything from a broken cupholder to a blown tranny. They are all counted the same. That whole JD power thing is meaningless to me.
My impression of long term reliability: the ratio of cars that are IN SERVICE and 10 years old compared to the sales of that year are lower for the domestics IMO.

also, they don't have to discount an average of $4500 a vehicle.

People like you really need to get a clue.
Guess who came in at the top of the pack for extended reliability with the last JD powers survey? Hint, it was not Honda.

Even if Honda WAS number one, you cant judge anything with JD.
