If the Camaro goes forward, GM can always rebadge it as a Pontiac. Same old same old.

There's NO Holden Monaro replacement yet.......that's why the GTO is being discontinued.

Pontiac can't get any supply of the GTO if Holden isn't making it

That Camaro looks like an RX-8 from the side (that wasn't a compliment). Too bad the GTO is going away though, its a decent car to drive around in.

The camaro is a decidedly male car.

the mustang does so well because women buy the V6 model. I don't see women buying the V6 camaro. Without that mass market, the car may not materialize.
this is a very good point. Prolly half of all mustangs are driven by females.

How about the GTO is just butt ugly. Oh, don't get me started with the hood with two nostrils.

The camaro will be like MANY other GM cars. The loyal camaro guys will buy it, and then when everyone that wants one, gets one, the sales will plummet.

bummer, oh well my friend with an 04 will be happy...maybe his value will finally start to climb, after taking almost 30 percent depreciation within a year.

the 06 seems nice, i may be interested. seems to be a more "luxury" sports coupe.

anyone know why performance parts are so expensive on them?

Their parts don't seem that out of line for pricing. Its a new car with fairly low production numbers so parts will never become Civic/F-Body/Mustang cheap.

Exactly!!! GM has killed the GTO to make way for the new Camaro. Which in my opinion is a much better looking car.

I'd buy the new Camaro but you couldn't give me a GTO for free.
That is so ****ing hot.

it doesn't seem like it should cost as much, I mean it uses the LS1, or LS6 depending on what year, so the R&D is there, the only problem is making the small stuff worksuch as routing the exhaust,...which shouldnt be too difficult, as it comes stock with dual exhaust.

its most likely just because of the price range, as well as the limited production. (which is a bit of what you said). Also, it seems mostly only overpriced manufacturers are making parts ATM, such as Loudmouth or Borla.
