If he were to bring a check is there anyway to securely deposit it/reduce the risk of it bouncing? Alongside that, we agreed on a price over the phone, but I'm not looking forward to if he starts tire kicking once he gets here (although he is the one driving 3 hours and not myself). Thanks again everyone!

Hi. My name is Barak Obama. I'd like to buy your Honda. You can verify that I'm legit. Here is my company's website: https://www.whitehouse.gov/administr...resident-obama

As you can see, I'm on this website, so I'm super legit.

Seriously, man, you need to punt on this thing. He found the name of a dealership employee that he could reference online, and he is scamming you. This isn't how dealerships work.

Thanks for the responses guys! He is coming tomorrow, but I was able to get his picture from the dealership so I'll make sure it is actually him who shows up tomorrow and not some other random guy. Alongside that, my car is a 14' black si sedan with 16,500 miles that he is offering 20k for, which is close to, but a little lower than KBB. My car also has BC coils on it and a CAI. I was planning to meet him at the Bank to make sure everything checked out as well, thanks!

Call the dealer main number and ask to speak with him. Confirm its the same guy or I wouldn't meet up with him.

Please, man. Take some precautions. You don't want to end up like this guy: http://jalopnik.com/police-man-charg...m-o-1702804264

Doesn't add up, dealers won't go through that much extra effort to buy a car at retail price.

Hey everyone, thanks for all your tips and advice! I called the dealership this morning to speak with the manager and it all checked out. The dispatcher brought a check to the bank which I then turned into a cashiers check and cashed in. Looks like I'm one step closer to getting an S! Thanks again!
