I have a Race Track near me that I use alot; always $.10 to .15 cheaper than most other places. They have 48 pumps I think and it's always a full house. I use their 93 octane. Also use Hess, Shell, and Mobil.

This is a voluntary organization / standard that refiners may or may not join.. basically a promotional campaign.

TopTier does not go out and randomly test gasoline so those it lists are subscribers, those it does not may have as good or better a product but choose not to promote through the TopTier program.

This is a money making promotion that does not rank gasoline, but promotes the products of it's members.

Thats all well and good but to qualify for this "marketing campaign", the retailers must meet a set of requirements. Brand X gasoline may be 10 times better then Shell, but if they dont publish and PROVE it, I am not going to run the risk and buy it... make sense?
