The list of six-cylinder sport coupes that actually matter is a short one. Let's face it, until now it's been BMW 335i and Infiniti G37. And then, about two weeks ago, Hyundai dropped a bomb. A big one.
It's called the 2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe.
And all of a sudden, the Korean carmaker

As someone else said before. If the Genesis won based on its price then it was always going to win this comparo so it's pretty meaningless what the factual data shows.

Hyundai is giving Infiniti a headache now..lol
I wonder if there will be a way to disable that power sapping feature Hyundai has. The car should no doubt be quicker than it is.
The true comparison will be Genesis coupe vs Camaro.

Drove the Genesis Coupe yesterday, was very impressed. I wasnt expecting much but it is very solid machine. Built well, luxury, seats are extremely comfortable, six is very responsive even in auto.

Its the same argument as the S2000 when it debuted imo - its performance on par with cars costing way more. Yes, you give up some lux, but you get 90% the car for 70% the price.

The weigh nearly the same and have the same general set up, but the Mustang is much faster, has a more appealing (less ugly) design, it's safer, get better fuel economy (based on edmunds observed) and can be had for less in the real world.
The Genesis has the advantage of a better warranty, better material quality (from the looks, who know about build quality that's for time to tell), and an irs
By edmunds logic the Mustang wins outright because it cost less lol
