FRS vs RX8 vs S2000 on Everyday Driver
#51
Nope, filled up, drove 300kms pure highway and filled up again for little more than a quarter tank. Did that more than once, got 28-29mpg a few times and got 30-32 once or twice. I've driven that same stretch of highway about 5-6 times and its 300kms each way. I averaged 100km/h as it took me around 3 hours and I also got 30+ mpg in a huge snowstorm on the same highway, but it took me 3 hours and 45 mins.

What choice do they have? There isn't much to compare the FRS/BRZ to on the new car market right now.

My brother is in the market for a frs. Trying to convince him to wait it out...maybe I'll let him drive my car if I ever make the drive back to visit the folks.

I drive mine to work and school everyday with no problems. I got to the store to get groceries and downtown Hollywood for concerts but I am also single and no family responsibilities.

Why is it a joke? Many people cross-shop the two when looking for something sporty and relatively affordable. They both have high-rpm NA engines and both handle very well. The RX8 is arguable more refined, and definitely more practical, but I don't see why you are surprised at people comparing the two?
