On the steering wheel, the horns are in the thumb prints. That's crazy! I'd think the driver would accidentally squeeze it all the time, because that's proper hand positions.

GT in half a second, I could care less about the Ferrari. After they stopped making the 355 I stopped looking at Ferrari's offereings. That and there legal team is nasty, I have seen them chase kit car builders all over the country, down to individual building one offs in their garage.
Plus then you would be a F-car owner which if the ones that I have met are any indication not a group that I would like to be affiliated with.
The GT is perfect because it has basically the lightning motor, the simply interior and the lack of all things like multiweather control (the F430 has a snow/wet traction control setting, if you drive you ferrari in the snow you should be able to get home safely yourself). Its a basic down to earth sportscar with limits that are just higher then everything else. Its perfect, is basically the american version of the NSX, you could drive it everyday in my opinion if you felt like it.
And just for the record I own a ferrari replica built by the Pontiac factory and it just keeps going and going with 1/50th the problems of a standard 308, I might look at a 355 somewhere down the road but would much rather have a 62' 250.

Has anyone heard of a GT having issues resulting from a faulty fuel tank or suspension parts? My guess is Ford already knew their product could kill their customers before the first car was ever sold (AGAIN) but decided to sell it anyway because the risk would be worth it (AGAIN).
Maybe they had a change of heart when they realized how bad it would hurt to be sued by the families of dead rich people.
Oh well. At least they're stopping this one before they kill more people. I still won't buy any product that would put a penny in their pockets.

Hmmm, Ferrari is not Honda or Toyota when it comes to reliability or cost of repairs. They are not Fords either.
That said, Ferrari has a history, though the Ford GT does, too (albeit, with a NA powerplant not a supercharged one ).
The Ford would be the easier drive and the easier to maintain.
I've driven the 360M and the Ford GT (I work at Ford) and the GT is certainly quicker than the 360M. The steering feedback was very good. The brakes were Porsche-like. If only it had a 'proper' engine that could see the car flying down the Mulsanne Straight... leading the 550s and 360s...
As far as sound goes it's too subjective. The 360 Modena sounds quite like my ITR. Not bad at all. The Ford GT also sounds very, very nice from outside, but is relatively speaking subdued within.
However, the 'unblemished' sporting heritage at Ferrari would be damned near impossible to walk away from.
What I'd like to see is a chassis construction/materials like the Lotus Elise (i.e., Aluminum honeycomb). Add a modernized 351 cid block (Aluminum, of course) and I'd then opt for the Ford without pause.
