Good 'ol Sport mode. It gets even better with the FR tune.

 

That would get old quick. Whatever turns your crank as they say.

 

Shuts off with a press of a button...Unless you drive it hard in normal. In Sport mode you'll hear it pretty much anytime you dump the accelerator.

 

I think if this was on the Honda, this crowd would love it

I drove a friend's FoRS through Tail of the Dragon, in Sport Mode. Speaking as someone that loves a rough, and very talkative exhaust, the pops get old. The reason they got old for me was that they were incredibly predictable. And sounded exactly the same almost every time. I feel like Ford tried too hard with that. Felt manufactured, forced, i.e. fake.

I think it's a neat little trick, if you're driving hard, but being able to turn it on and off is a great feature.

 

I used to have a waste gate controlled, down-pipe dump that could be totally shut-off and even when on, only came on once boost was over 'X' amount. It was fine. You can shut it off so it worked out pretty well and was good for another 35-40hp over stock.
