Ford brings the smack down to Porsche and Ferrari!

It looks to be a fantastic car.
One of the funnier comments from another board regarding the car has to do with how well you can deal with taking your 150,000 dollar car to a Ford dealer and waiting in line behind escorts and the like.
Regardless, the performance speaks for itself. Damn good.

Yea well, its a ford, but a car is a car. And this car is a better CAR then the ferrari or the porsche, at least on paper. I imagine the reliability will be even better than the exotics as well. Thats just optimism, the above #'s are HARD FACT. Not to mention the fact that the ford will be a true collectable, the ferrari and porsche will to, but just one of many. Also, for the purist, the ford seems to be so much more pure, just in design.... and a 40% stiffer frame than the 360....whoa!

Someone please explain to me the line commonly used when talking about the GT.. "its still a ford."
Nobody says a Viper is still a Dodge??
I hate Fords, short of the GT there is not one car in their lineup I would remotely consider. My dad had a ford van once, it was like Christine..
But when talking about the GT, and then coming back with its still a Ford, I just don't understand.. So it's a Ford, its also one of the best performance cars ever.
Seriously, give me something more then its still a Ford
Edited for atrocious grammar

The GT is a beast, a car, but a beast none the less. When you drop the label, the GT is simply a better a car, at leats form what we know now. I still want to see an official dyno on one.... with the numbers above maybe they forgot to mention that the 500hp is rear wheel horse power.... lol
