Default Ford Axes SVT program

Pretty good sum up, surprised Ford isn't cashing on the recent success of the SRT line from Dodge/Chrysler.

Didn't know that the Ford GT ate up alot of the resource to design newer cars... interesting read.

Always wanted another SVT focus or something along the line.

who knows, article stated that all Cobras will be sold at all Ford dealers and not the SVT ones.

They would sell more but are not sure if they can get more transmissions for the new cobras.

Keep a hold of all the SVT's I guess. Contours, Focus', Mustangs, Lightnings. I wonder if those SHO Taurus's count...

i don't believe the sho's were part of the svt program. My contour SVT was great for the time i had it. It's value was dropping like a rock though. I kinda doubt even with the svt program chopped it's value would hold.

That's sad. SVT made some interesting vehicles.

What a shame. They built some interesting cars and trucks. Thank god they still have the Ford 500. Good article. Thanks!

I sold my SVT Euro Focus last Saturday. It was a heck of a nice little car and way under rated by most people.
