sooo, is it fast now or what?
I'm guessing they did it just to do it, not because there was any real benefit they couldn't get another way.
Doesn't VW have some tiny city car that uses a turbo and supercharger?

vw has twin charger system called 1.4 tsi. it is a quiet efficient engine and i believe it has won engine of the year before.

the problem with a twin supercharger, twin turbo setup is that its a waste of time and money from an engineering standpoint. it may be cool from a uniqeness standpoint, but from an engineering standpoint its a bit of a joke. there's no amount of power this system can achieve that a twin turbo or single turbo alone couldn't achieve. likewise, this setup won't improve the smoothness/linearity of the powerband substantially enough to warrant all the extra weight of a twin S/C, twin turbo system. the extra few hundred pounds of hardware is definitely going to effect the balance of the car (especially since its going in at the front of the car, and nowhere hear the middle). don't get me wrong - its both cool and interesting at the same time. but its far from cost-effective, and therefore not very worth while unless you're wallet is loaded.
