ford might actually sell some cars if they brought that thing over. dear lord if they made an awd version like the rally car it would all be over.

Sad to say, but for the most part, America isn't really a hatchback kind of country. Sure, there are many enthusiasts out there that love hatches, but at the end of the day, the demand for hot hatches are nowhere in comparison to where they are in europe.

The only hatches that come to mind over here are the MS3, GTI, and WRX (more like a wagon though)

Over there, they get the UK CTR hatch, GTI, Focus RS, Megane' R26, VXR, Seat Leon Cupra R, etc etc..

either way I do wish ford would bring the RS here, but like stated above, it would probably tamper with other ford sales here (ie mustang).

I think the cobalt SS deserves a mention though, and we've already seen that they are faster then any rental car should have the rite to be.

Well it's not our fault (enthusiasts) that the general public's buying habits in the States, are fukt. All it takes is one drive ANYWHERE and the SUV's are rolling 24/7. A wagon or a hatch usually has enough room and storage space to suffice in the States but people want bigger. They always want and buy more than they need. They also live and breathe fast food If you're a fatass, getting in and out of a big SUV or truck is much easier than having to climb into a sedan, wagon, etc. Sad. Wagons and hatches are more popular in Europe because more of their buying public is interested in having a well handling/driving car and having utility. Streets can be much smaller and harder to park in, etc, etc I could go on and on. I see the models they get, automobiles and motorcycles, every year, then I look at what we get and always fill jipped.

You guys should be rioting in the streets that you aren't getting these... Another FWD, the new VW Scirocco. A real drivers car as well, they say. See them more and more in Europe on the roads these days.
