Focus RS, anyone have the inside scoop?
The Focus RS looks pretty interesting but it doesn't look like there's much info on pricing, availability etc. I'm thinking about one for a daily driver to replace my tired E46 ZHP. Never thought I'd be interested in a Focus but the specs look pretty good and a lot of people seem to like the Focus ST and Fiesta ST.
I hope it's not a super limited 5K over sticker car but I have a gut feeling it will be, at least for the first year or so.

I still think you'll wind up missing the e46. Unless it's giving you a bunch of headaches? Then yeah, give the RS a try - obvious plus being a warranty exists on your daily driver.

I'm pretty interested too. I didn't think Type-R reviews would come out before the RS info. Hopefully with the Type-R hype train rolling, Ford will start to let some review websites/mags test out the RS and give some more info.
I've been in contact with two local Ford dealerships that know nothing other than it should be an March-ish 2016 release.
I will say, I just tested an loaded up Focus ST and if the interior is similar or better than that, I'll be impressed. The Recaros and Info-tainment system were fantastic on it.

2016? I thought this car was coming out later. It'll definitely be a MY17 car.

My E46 is reliable it's just an old car that I bought when I had a year of heavy commuting which I don't have to do now so I just want something newer, more powerful with some tech goodies.
I emailed an internet sales manager at a big dealer in DFW and he said there has been 0 info from Ford Corporate since the announcement.

Long story, shot, I made friends with the owner and his GM of a Ford dealer down south of you in Houston and we've been talking back and forth about it all.
