Fit Vs C6
#31
Lol, wow, a vette to a fit.
I'm one to not believe in hype generated by mass perception (as evident by my contribution in numerous BMW and Porsche forums, lol) but even I gotta say that the fit isn't in the realm of a vette. Hachirokus, CRX, tuned 510s, miata are in a different realm altogether; the reason why these cars own in autocrossing is for one simple factor that trumps all others- weight. That and the fact that their engines don't remain stoc nor do their suspensions, when it comes time to go through the cones, most of these cars are fully prepped cars. These cars are about 2000lbs give or take a hundred pounds... from the factory, that's before you gut it. The fit weighs 2500lbs...
For some reason, if the doc (who's a complete pompous ass btw) had an s2000 or nsx as opposed to the vette, I think the fit guy's response woulda been a lot different despite neither car being superior to the C6. Again, perception.

I have never driven a Fit but I think it would be pretty fast, the same way a Scion xB and Focus would be fast. And I mean zero offense when I say that. If you can hang from one corner to the next without any long straights or acceleration needed, those cars are a blast.
But on the road or twisties, I'd put my money on the Corvette lugging around in 4th/5th gear.

have you ever driven a fit?
from first hand experience, while it sounds crazy as hell, fits can out handle most cars, esp long cars like the c6, is switchback twisties. you oughta be embarrassed for yourself by not doing the research and simply going off of retarded generalizations.
fyi, i dont own a fit.

The fit will never catch the corvette on almost any road.

But the best part is that the Fit guy being quoted by dyhppy was bragging that he wouldn't have to fill up his Fit after all of 9 to 10 minutes of driving.
Impressive. Did he think the vette would have to?
