Fit Vs C6

This thread is retarded. The only race the Fit would win vs. a C6 would be through grocery store isles...unless it was a new super store with the nice wide isles

[QUOTE=JonBoy,May 12 2008, 05:58 PM] The only way a Fit would stick with the C6 Z06 is if the driver in the Vette didn't have a clue how to drive (or the cajones to actually use the available performance)...
The Fit's a great little car for its class but it won't outhandle or outgrip or outbrake or outcorner any serious sports car.

I'm thinking what a jackass that doctor must be for having to laugh at a car that has no relevance or comparison to a C6 Vette whatsoever.
Seriously.

Ohh, time for some research.

2007 Honda Fit Sport 71.574 69.629 70.917+1 54.937
2007 Chevrolet Corvette 61.428 61.065+2 61.676 61.428

Black 2006 Chevrolet Corvette 52.278 51.925+3 52.231 51.976 51.976
Blue 2007 Chevrolet Corvette 52.619+1 53.405 52.783 52.921+1 52.783
Silver 2007 Honda Fit Sport 60.954 60.999 59.963 58.770+1 47.310
Of course, these numbers don't really PROVE anything. I know it is a VERY limited data set. But these are results from the same course on the same day. If I could find more people AutoXing Fit's I would post the times.

I didn't see them listed on the site, but how do you "handicap" a race on a "mountain" road?
Isn't the driver the part we are trying to exclude? Aren't we TRYING to compare cars in different classes head to head?

The point about sight lines in the mountains is a good one. I never drove my Z06 to its road handling limits through every blind turn. Good way for Darwin to get you.
You would be amazed how well a top-rated driver can make an econobox move through an auto-x course. But Fit to C6? Put any SCCA National Champion in the Fit and I'll take the vette!
