You gotta admit though in gas mileage performance the Fit wins hands down. Not to shabby to go 350 miles on 10 gallons plus you get to laugh at all those folks filling up Suburbans , Yukons and Excursions especially when it was over 4 dollars because you could see the tears in their eyes filling up those dinosaurs.
I don't have a problem with the Fit, but filling up my Yukon and driving it around is much more enjoyable than paying less for gas and being stuck inside a small econo car. Having bought my Yukon a few months ago, it wasn't as if I could have gotten a Fit (or two) instead.

With gas prices as low as they are now (what did happen to all the greenies that argued with me over gas prices not that long ago?), suddenly driving a prius is looking a little dumb considering we're back to prices where hybrids were still a novelty.
Fuel prices will be low like this for a short period of time. With oil being as low as it is, wells that were profitable at 80/barrel are shut down, and exploration virtually stops. At some point this will cause a significant shortage and we'll be on our way back up to 140/barrel in no time. Don't chirp too loudly, you could wind up eating crow sooner than you think.

PS - I'm about as far from a greenie as you can get. I'm an investor

Fit vs. C6 was more fun when it was a joke thread. Bring back sarcasm!

I agree brother, of course it'd be dumb that the lows of today are as real as the highs of a few months ago. Point I'm trying to make is that gas prices will rise on its own considering inflation and such, and that the hyperinflation of gas prices of a months passed were just that, hyperinflation by speculators, not because of Bush or we're running out anytime soon or whatever other fear mongering that was cooked up.
And you're right, I could be eating my words in a matter of months, I mean OPEC can say screw it and stop supplying us oil tomorrow skyrocketing prices. But over time the price of gas will rise on its own market controlled accord with its natual spikes and dips.

There's absolutely no question it was driven up (and now down with shorts) by speculators. I think we agree more than not on this subject. Have a good weekend

Even if gas were $25/gallon, I'd still drive a C6 over a Fit. I wouldn't accept a Fit as a rental car.

And to think, I was just a newbmaghee when the thread originated....

I'm still subscribed to the original

And still waiting for Johnny Chang to come back.

And still pretty much done with the Fit Jokes. But hey we gotta get as many people as we can to realize that the fit is incomparable. There will never be another car that dominates much like the Fit.... That is until the Chuck Norris edition becomes available to the puny public.
